A 31-year-old man has been apprehended in Ciudad Juarez on suspicion of involvement in the arson of two nightlife establishments located in distinct areas of the city. Initial reports indicate that the arrest was made after authorities tracked a suspicious vehicle observed at both incident locations.

How did the nightclub fires in Ciudad Juarez occur?

Reports detail that the incidents took place at two separate locations: one on Ramón Rayón Street, near its intersection with Tlaxcala, and the other on Tecnológico Avenue, at the junction with Nueva Zelanda. Both venues sustained material damage after incendiary devices were used. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in either incident.

Witnesses described seeing a dark-colored vehicle departing from the affected areas. This crucial information enabled authorities to initiate a pursuit, which ultimately led to the identification and location of the alleged perpetrator.

According to preliminary information, the man, identified as Javier N., aged 31, reportedly attempted to flee when intercepted by law enforcement. However, he was successfully detained for further investigation.

Investigation into the incidents

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the exact circumstances surrounding the fires and the motive behind them. The swift response of law enforcement, aided by witness accounts, was instrumental in the rapid apprehension of the suspect.

The incidents have raised concerns among local business owners and residents regarding safety and security in the city’s nightlife sector. The investigation aims to uncover any potential links or patterns that could prevent similar occurrences in the future.
