Ciudad Juarez, January 10 – A two-year-old girl lost her life after being struck by a pickup truck in a tragic accident on Valle del Sol street, at its intersection with Camino Ortíz Rubio. The victim has been identified as Samara, who was just two years old.

Details of the Tragic Accident

According to preliminary information gathered at the scene, the minor was with her mother when she allegedly let go of her hand and suddenly ran into the street. A pickup truck with railings was circulating at that moment, and its driver was unable to stop in time, hitting the child.

Emergency paramedics quickly arrived at the scene and attempted to provide aid to the little girl. However, they confirmed that she no longer had vital signs due to the severity of her injuries. The incident caused great commotion among residents and passersby in the area, who witnessed the aftermath of the unfortunate event.

Investigation and Scene Preservation

The death of the two-year-old girl in Ciudad Juarez led authorities to cordon off the area to preserve the scene. A scooter and a helmet were found on the sidewalk, suggesting that the child may have been playing just minutes before the accident occurred.

Elements from various security corporations secured the area, while personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office began investigations to accurately determine how the events unfolded and to assign responsibility. The driver of the truck was taken into custody to provide a statement while the necessary road expertises are carried out.

Authorities Call for Caution

Authorities reiterated their call to parents and motorists to exercise extreme caution, especially in residential areas, to prevent such tragedies. This incident highlights the critical need for increased awareness and vigilance to ensure the safety of children in urban environments.

The community mourns the loss of young Samara, and the incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety for all, particularly the most vulnerable members of society.
