A millionaire robbery took place at a jewellery store inside a shopping mall located at the intersection of Ejército Nacional and Plutarco Elías Calles avenues in Ciudad Juarez. The perpetrators made off with an estimated two million pesos in merchandise, according to information from the State Investigation Agency (AEI).

The Heist: Three Men, Five Minutes, Millions in Loot

Investigations indicate that three men participated in the assault, which was captured by the store’s security cameras. The footage shows one of the suspects, wearing a blue hoodie and black track pants, threatening the sole employee present and forcing her into the store’s back room.

Meanwhile, a second individual, dressed entirely in beige with a green cap and white face mask, began to collect the jewellery displayed in the showcases, placing it into black bags. Subsequently, a third man, wearing a black jacket, grey track pants, and a white hood, entered the establishment to fill a second bag with merchandise.

No Security Intervention During the Robbery

The recordings reveal that the first suspect emerged from the back room with a box containing more jewellery, which he handed over to his accomplices to be emptied into one of the bags. After spending approximately five minutes inside the store, the three men left the jewellery store carrying the bags filled with the stolen goods.

The robbery is believed to have occurred between 10:20 and 10:30 in the morning, a time when the shopping mall was operational. However, during the entire duration of the robbery, no mall security guards approached the establishment.

Investigation Underway: Vehicles Seized, Suspects Unidentified

As part of the ongoing investigation, authorities have secured two vehicles allegedly used by the perpetrators to flee the scene. However, as of now, the suspects have not been identified.

Personnel from the State Investigation Agency continue to analyze surveillance camera footage with the aim of determining the escape route and establishing whether other vehicles were used to evade authorities.

The incident highlights concerns regarding security measures in commercial establishments, particularly during operational hours. The quick and efficient execution of the robbery by the three individuals, coupled with the lack of immediate security response, raises questions about the preparedness of the shopping mall to handle such events.

Authorities have not yet released further details regarding potential leads or the progress of the investigation. The focus remains on identifying the perpetrators and recovering the stolen merchandise, which represents a significant loss for the affected jewellery store.

The community of Ciudad Juarez is urged to provide any information that could assist law enforcement in apprehending the individuals responsible for this high-value robbery. The incident adds to ongoing discussions about public safety and the need for enhanced security protocols in commercial areas.
