Scholarships for Addiction Treatment in Ciudad Juárez: Requirements and Application Details

The Municipal Health Directorate in Ciudad Juárez has announced the opening of registrations for a comprehensive addiction treatment program. This initiative includes financial support for participants’ three-month inpatient stay, aiming to provide professional care to those struggling with addiction and ensure family involvement in the recovery process.

Registrations for the program began on March 23, 2026. Interested individuals must attend with a family member or legal representative.

Application Requirements:

Applicants and their accompanying responsible party must present the following documents:

  • Birth certificate of the applicant and the accompanying responsible party.
  • INE (National Electoral Institute) card or identity letter of the applicant and the accompanying responsible party.
  • CURP (Unique Population Registry Code).
  • Two proofs of address from different services.
  • Two personal references with their address and phone number.

What to Expect During Your Visit:

During your appointment at the Urban Health Center B, located at the intersection of Puerto Progreso and Puerto Anzio S/N, in the Portal del Roble neighborhood, you will:

  • Complete a Psychological Evaluation (ASSIST-POSIT).
  • Undergo an interview to verify your data through a socioeconomic study.
  • Sign a consent form.

It is crucial that applicants have the availability for a three-month inpatient treatment and attend voluntarily. The Municipal Health Directorate emphasizes that the program aims to facilitate access to treatment without financial barriers.

Family Involvement:

The accompanying family member or legal representative must also attend the Urban Health Center B to participate in the family program, which is designed to support the prevention of relapses. This commitment is vital for the participant’s long-term recovery.

Important Considerations:

  • The Municipal Health Directorate disclaims any responsibility for circumstances that may arise during the stay at the residential center.
  • The scholarships are intended to cover all or part of the costs of the inpatient stay and related medical services.
