UACH Opens Doors to Students to Boost Academic Future in Ciudad Juárez

Ciudad Juárez, April 15, 2026 – The Autonomous University of Chihuahua (UACH) in Ciudad Juárez is conducting a series of guided tours from April 14 to 17 at its Faculty of Political and Social Sciences. This initiative aims to introduce students to the university’s academic programs and motivate them to pursue higher education.

University authorities emphasized that this program seeks to provide high school students with a close look at the available academic options. They noted that over 600 students had already visited in February and March, and an expanded outreach is expected after the Easter holiday period.

Permanent Campaign to Promote Academic Programs

These activities are part of a permanent campaign designed to disseminate information about the curricula of various undergraduate programs, as well as to offer students a direct experience of the university environment.

During the tours, young people get a first-hand look at the workshops and facilities available at the institution, including television and radio studios, digital photography areas, the library, relaxation zones, and the cafeteria.

Preventing School Dropout

As part of this strategy to prevent school dropout, students from various campuses of the Colegio de Bachilleres will participate, visiting the facilities on different days and at different times.

  • Tuesday, April 14: 270 students from campuses 6, 7, 9, and 16 visited from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
  • Wednesday, April 15: Another 270 students from campuses 11 and 9 are touring the faculty during the same hours.
  • Thursday, April 16: 176 young people from campuses 5, 7, and 23 are scheduled to attend.
  • Friday, April 17: The visit of 80 students from campus 16 and approximately 180 students from CBTIS 269 is planned, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

These visits provide a valuable opportunity for prospective students to engage with the university community, understand the academic rigor, and envision their future careers. The UACH remains committed to fostering educational growth and supporting the academic aspirations of the youth in Ciudad Juárez.

The university’s efforts underscore the importance of early engagement with potential students, offering them a tangible connection to their educational future and helping them make informed decisions about their academic paths. This proactive approach is crucial in a region where educational attainment plays a vital role in social and economic development.

The Faculty of Political and Social Sciences, with its diverse range of facilities and experienced faculty, aims to attract and retain talented students, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities of the modern world. The guided tours are a testament to UACH’s dedication to community outreach and educational excellence.
