A department store in a commercial plaza in Ciudad Juárez was the scene of an armed robbery yesterday evening, where a lone assailant managed to abscond with approximately 55,000 pesos in cash. The incident took place on Miguel de la Madrid Avenue, at the intersection with Santiago Blancas.
Robber Threatens Employees, Flees Unharmed
According to initial reports, the armed individual entered the department store and proceeded directly to the cash register area. There, he used a firearm to threaten employees, forcing them to hand over the money. Following the robbery, the suspect fled the scene. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were sustained by any individuals during the incident.
Extensive Police Operation Yields No Arrests
Immediately after the report of the robbery, elements of the Municipal Police and State Police launched a comprehensive operation in the area. Their objective was to locate and apprehend the responsible party. However, despite the deployment of resources, the suspect was not found. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with this crime.
