State Government Invites to Expo Viaja 2026 in Ciudad Juárez

Ciudad Juárez, May 14, 2026 – The State Government, through the Ministry of Tourism, has extended an invitation to the residents of Ciudad Juárez to participate in the 2026 edition of Expo Viaja Ciudad Juárez. This initiative aims to bring a wide array of tourism options, promotions, and national and international vacation packages closer to the border population.

The event is scheduled to take place this Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17, from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, at the Injectronic Convention Center. Admission to the expo will be free for all attendees.

Diverse Travel Opportunities on Offer

Adalberto Castro, coordinator of Expo Viaja, detailed that approximately 30 travel agencies and local and national exhibitors will participate. They will present packages for destinations within the state of Chihuahua, the rest of Mexico, and international locations.

Among the available alternatives, attendees will find trips to beaches, colonial cities, and international destinations such as Costa Rica, Colombia, Japan, and various European countries. The expo will also feature experiences linked to international sports and tourism events.

Furthermore, tours through the Sierra Tarahumara and the Chepe train will be promoted as part of the “Chihuahua is for you, get to know it by train” campaign, highlighting the natural beauty and cultural richness of the region.

20 Years of Promoting Tourism

Germán Orrantia, Director of Tourism Promotion, emphasized that Expo Viaja celebrates 20 years as one of the main spaces for tourism promotion in the state. The event plays a crucial role in boosting tourism activity and generating connections between companies in the sector and visitors.

Ensuring Secure Travel Experiences

Jorge Ruiz, president of the Tourism Section of Canaco, urged attendees to contract services through established agencies. This recommendation aims to provide greater security and help avoid fraud from false promotions found on the internet, ensuring a safe and reliable travel planning experience for consumers.
