Ciudad de México, June 1, 2026 – In a move to address the surging demand for specialized medical services in Mexico’s northern border region, Hospitales MAC has officially announced the construction of a new hospital complex in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua. This ambitious project, undertaken in collaboration with local entrepreneurs through Torre MID+ and Imagen Diagnóstica, represents a significant investment exceeding one billion pesos.
Strategic Expansion to Meet Growing Medical Needs
The decision to establish a new hospital unit in Ciudad Juárez comes at a time when the industrial and population growth in the region is placing increased pressure on healthcare infrastructure. This development is a crucial part of Hospitales MAC’s broader expansion strategy, which seeks to bolster private medical care in key areas across Mexico. The new facility will integrate into the group’s existing network of 25 hospitals nationwide.
Miguel Khoury, founder, CEO, and president of Hospitales MAC, emphasized the strategic importance of this venture. “Ciudad Juárez is one of the most economically and industrially dynamic regions in the country. This dynamism necessitates medical infrastructure capable of responding to the new demands for specialized care. This project represents a strategic commitment to bring high-specialty hospital services, advanced medical technology, and comprehensive care to the border region,” Khoury stated.
Economic Impact: Job Creation and Local Development
Beyond its primary objective of enhancing healthcare capacity, the new hospital is expected to significantly boost the local economy. The project is projected to create more than 350 direct jobs and over 1,000 indirect jobs. This includes opportunities across various sectors, from clinical and administrative roles to support staff, as well as stimulating supply chains and provisioning related to the health and construction industries.
State-of-the-Art Facilities and Comprehensive Services
The new Hospital MAC Ciudad Juárez will boast an impressive infrastructure, spanning approximately 40,000 square meters of construction. The facility is designed to offer a wide array of advanced medical services, including:
- 55 hospitalization rooms
- 6 state-of-the-art operating rooms
- Adult and neonatal intensive care units
- An emergency department
- Over 250 medical consultation rooms for various specialties
Additionally, the complex will integrate specialized auxiliary and diagnostic services, such as hemodynamics, endoscopy, tocology, imaging, radiology, laboratory services, intermediate and cardiovascular therapy, as well as seven cubicles for chemotherapy administration and short-stay operating rooms.
A Team of Dedicated Professionals
Once operational, the hospital anticipates the involvement of more than 400 medical specialists and a team exceeding 350 collaborators. This dedicated workforce, comprising clinical, administrative, and support personnel, will be focused on delivering comprehensive and accessible medical care to the residents of Ciudad Juárez and its surrounding areas.
