UNICEF and Fundación Gazpro Unite for Children in Ciudad Juárez

Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico – In a significant move to safeguard the well-being of children and adolescents, Fundación Gazpro, A.C. and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) have officially partnered to combat family violence. The alliance, formalized through a signed agreement, aims to implement the ‘Prevention and Eradication of Violence in Parenting’ program, promoting positive parenting practices and upholding the rights of minors.

The initiative, known as ‘Crianza con Conciencia’ (Conscious Parenting), will focus on equipping mothers, fathers, and caregivers with essential tools to foster safe and violence-free environments within homes. This program is designed to strengthen families across Ciudad Juárez, directly impacting the welfare and development of its children.

Program Focus: Positive Parenting and Child Protection

The ‘Prevention and Eradication of Violence in Parenting’ program is a direct response to the need for proactive measures against violence in domestic settings. By promoting positive parenting techniques, the program seeks to:

  • Educate parents and caregivers on non-violent disciplinary methods.
  • Provide resources for managing stress and conflict within the family.
  • Raise awareness about children’s rights and the importance of a nurturing environment.
  • Strengthen family bonds and communication.

This strategic alliance between Fundación Gazpro and UNICEF represents a concerted effort to create a safer and more supportive future for the children of Ciudad Juárez. The program’s implementation is expected to have a lasting positive impact on the community, ensuring that the rights and well-being of its youngest members are protected and prioritized.
