Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico – César Omar Muñoz Morales, the Secretary of Public Security for Ciudad Juárez, has been actively engaging with federal authorities in Mexico City to secure crucial federal funding for a range of projects focused on enhancing security and public services within the city.

Efforts to Attract Federal Investment

Muñoz Morales confirmed that he has held several meetings with federal officials, including a presentation on Wednesday, a scheduled Zoom meeting, and further in-person discussions at the National Palace next week. These engagements are part of a concerted effort to attract federal investment that will directly benefit the residents of Juárez.

“We have been entrusted with several matters, including coordination on some projects we are bringing for Juárez,” stated Muñoz Morales. He emphasized that the initial presentation took place on Wednesday, with a follow-up Zoom meeting planned and another visit to the National Palace scheduled for next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Diverse Projects Beyond Security

While the Secretary of Public Security is leading these efforts, Muñoz Morales clarified that the proposed projects extend beyond security initiatives. He hinted at a broader scope, indicating that the proposals encompass various public services designed to improve the overall quality of life in Ciudad Juárez.

“I went representing President Cruz Pérez Cuéllar, to address public service issues. There are several; the Secretary of the City Council will join me for the Zoom meeting, and I hope he can accompany me next week to follow up. Working hand-in-hand with the Federal Government will greatly help Juárez,” he noted.

Collaboration with Federal Government

The strategic collaboration with the Federal Government is seen as a vital step towards addressing the city’s needs and implementing significant improvements. The municipal administration, under President Cruz Pérez Cuéllar, is actively seeking financial support to bring these ambitious projects to fruition.

The specific details of the projects have not yet been fully disclosed, but the emphasis on both security and public services underscores a comprehensive approach to urban development and community well-being in Ciudad Juárez.

The ongoing discussions and planned follow-up meetings highlight the commitment of the Juárez municipal government to leverage federal resources for the betterment of its citizens.
