Confirmed in Ciudad Juárez: New Date for Discounts and Free Water Services

Residents of Ciudad Juárez have a new opportunity to regularize their water accounts with significant discounts, access free services, and resolve pending issues with various government agencies without leaving their neighborhood. The Municipal Water and Sanitation Board (JMAS) is organizing a new edition of the “Cerca de Ti” (Close to You) program, an initiative that brings government services directly to citizens.

When and Where is the ‘Cerca de Ti’ Event in Ciudad Juárez?

The “Cerca de Ti” program will take place on June 26 at the Central Park of Ciudad Juárez, specifically in the acoustic shell of the recreational complex. Service hours are from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Attendees are advised to arrive early to complete their procedures before closing.

JMAS staff and representatives from other municipal departments will be on-site to assist residents directly, with no prior appointment necessary. This approach aims to remove barriers for families in nearby neighborhoods and any Juarense who needs to address outstanding issues with the agency.

What Discounts Does JMAS Offer for Overdue Accounts?

JMAS is providing discounts ranging from 20% to 90% on overdue water bills, depending on the specific conditions of each case. The final discount amount will be determined by the user’s history and specific situation at the time of their visit.

For those with accumulated fines or surcharges, a 100% condonation of these additional charges may be available. This offers significant relief for families whose debts have grown due to accumulated penalties and is designed to encourage regularization of services.

Additional Services Available

The “Cerca de Ti” event extends beyond water services, with the participation of additional agencies. Residents can process various documents, including birth certificates, criminal record certificates, and affiliation to MediChihuahua, all in one convenient location. Furthermore, vaccination campaigns will be available for the entire family.

How to Prepare for the Event

Residents of Ciudad Juárez wishing to take advantage of this event should go to Central Park on June 26 before 2:00 PM. It is advisable to bring official identification and, if possible, their account number or last water bill to expedite the process.

Contact Information

For more information, residents can contact JMAS through their official channels.
