When a city unites for a good cause, every step counts, and every goal achieved transforms lives. With this spirit of solidarity, the Corporate Social Responsibility Department of CEPS Paso del Norte invites all Juarez families, athletes, businesses, and the general public to be part of the Second Race for Security. This year, the event will benefit the civil association Horizonte Azul, comprised of parents who work daily to provide specialized care for girls, boys, and young people with severe autism.
More Than a Competition: A Community United
More than just a competition, this race represents an opportunity to demonstrate that Ciudad Juarez is a community that knows how to come together when it comes to supporting those who need it most. The race will take place on Sunday, July 26, 2026, starting at 7:00 AM, with the start and finish lines located at Parque Extremo. It is part of the Pedestrian Athletic Circuit of the Municipal Institute of Sport and Physical Culture of Juarez (IMDEJ).
Race Modalities and Prizes
To ensure that the entire community can participate, there will be two modalities: a competitive 10-kilometer race for those seeking a sporting challenge and a recreational 3-kilometer race, ideal for enjoying with family, friends, or simply walking for a noble cause.
In addition to promoting physical activity, participants will compete for an attractive prize pool exceeding 50,000 pesos, which includes cash incentives, in-kind prizes, dynamics for attendees, and an exciting flying finish line during the race.
Registration and Support for Horizonte Azul
Registration costs 350 pesos, a resource that will directly contribute to strengthening the programs and services offered by Horizonte Azul to children with severe autism and their families. Each participant will receive an official kit that includes a runner’s number, a commemorative shirt, a finisher’s medal upon crossing the finish line, and a surprise collector’s item.
The organizers called on the entire Juarez community to join this effort, reminding everyone that each registration represents much more than a race; it signifies hope, inclusion, and better opportunities for those who daily face the challenges of autism spectrum disorder.
The invitation is open to all citizens. This July 26, Ciudad Juarez has an appointment with sport, solidarity, and social commitment. Because when we run together, we go further.
