Civil Protection Issues Storm Warning for Ciudad Juárez
Ciudad Juárez, July 18 – The General Directorate of Civil Protection (DGPC) of the Municipality issued a preventive warning yesterday, July 18, due to the possibility of thunderstorms in the region. Residents are urged to stay vigilant and take necessary precautions to avoid personal or material damage.

The maximum temperature for yesterday was expected to reach 34 degrees Celsius (°C). Although the sky was predicted to remain mostly sunny with winds ranging from 5 to 25 kilometers per hour (km/h) and gusts between 26 and 32 km/h, there was a 1 to 45 percent chance of rain.
Furthermore, the DGPC warned of a high probability of showers and electrical storms between 12 PM yesterday and 5 AM today, Sunday. Authorities indicated that meteorological conditions would be closely monitored throughout the night.
The minimum temperature for last night was forecast at 23 °C with a mostly cloudy sky, winds of 5 to 25 km/h, and gusts of 26 to 32 km/h.
The forecast for the next two days indicates a continued favorable outlook for rain, with up to a 50 percent probability of precipitation.
In light of these predictions, authorities strongly recommend that citizens take extreme precautions to avoid exposure to hazards. This includes avoiding crossing streets or streams with strong currents and staying informed through official communication channels.
