Educational Infrastructure Coordinator Announces Project Completion
Ciudad Juárez, September 2 – The Coordinator of Educational Infrastructure, Ismael Rueda, announced that around 68 schools are ready for the official handover of completed projects. These projects span works initiated in 2025 and 2026, marking significant progress in the region’s educational facilities.
Progress on 2026 Projects
Rueda elaborated that out of the 119 schools designated for improvements this year, approximately 32 have already seen their construction work finalized and are prepared for formal delivery. The remaining schools are currently in various stages of construction, with efforts underway to bring them to completion as swiftly as possible.
Key Areas of Renovation and Construction
The primary focus of these construction efforts has been on addressing critical needs within the school infrastructure. Rueda detailed that the main works include:
- Electrical system rehabilitations
- Bathroom renovations
- Construction of sports courts
- Perimeter fence installations
These improvements directly tackle some of the most pressing requirements identified by the school communities, aiming to provide safer and more functional learning environments for students.
Future Project Submissions and Participatory Budgeting
The official further noted that schools continue to submit requests for additional construction projects. These new requests will be eligible for inclusion in the 2027 Participatory Budgeting process once the corresponding registration period opens. This mechanism allows for community involvement in prioritizing and funding local development projects, including those for educational institutions.
The completion and handover of these 68 school projects represent a substantial step forward in enhancing the educational landscape of Ciudad Juárez, ensuring that students have access to improved facilities conducive to learning and development.
