Elements of the National Guard in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, have arrested six men carrying firearms, believed to have been used in homicides. In addition, the alleged criminals were holding two migrants captive, who had reportedly paid thousands of dollars to be illegally crossed into the United States.
Joint Operation Leads to Arrests and Rescue
The Chihuahua State Public Security Secretariat reported that, in coordination with the National Guard, they successfully rescued two migrants from a house in the town of San Isidro, Ciudad Juarez. During the intervention, security forces detained six men and seized seven firearms, one vehicle, and two motorcycles.
How the Arrests Unfolded
The incident began when agents observed two armed men riding motorcycles, visibly carrying what appeared to be short firearms at their waists. When ordered to stop, both individuals ignored the command and continued to a residence on Venustiano Carranza Sur street.
Inside the property, agents located four other men, along with various firearms, including three long guns and four short guns, as well as their respective magazines and live cartridges.
Migrants Held Captive Awaiting Border Crossing
Furthermore, in one of the rooms of the property, two individuals identifying themselves as migrants were found. They stated they were being held there, awaiting illegal transfer to the United States.
The six individuals arrested were identified as:
- José Luis H.C, 45 years old
- Alejandro P.J, 25 years old
- Hochman H.S, 19 years old
- José Manuel S.M, 24 years old
- Manuel C.B, 28 years old
- Carlos Fernando G.M, 30 years old
