CIUDAD JUÁREZ, Chihuahua, Mexico – More than 1,700 runners converged on the avenues of Tomás Fernández and Campos Elíseos for the third edition of the ‘Think Feel Run’ event, organized by Tec de Monterrey campus Ciudad Juárez. The race, held yesterday, September 17, 2026, featured 5 and 10-kilometer routes, emphasizing the connection between sports and overall well-being.

‘Run with Meaning’: Integrating Physical and Emotional Health

Under the slogan ‘Run with Meaning,’ young people, adults, and families participated in a day that linked physical activity with physical and emotional well-being. The experience was structured around three core concepts: Runner, Feeler, and Thinker, which are associated with self-improvement, emotions, and purpose, respectively.

Judith Soto, General Director of Tec de Monterrey campus Ciudad Juárez, highlighted the importance of the event. “Emotions are present, they live within us, but through sports, we can channel them to lead a full life, full of satisfactions,” she stated.

Race Results: Top Finishers in 5K and 10K Categories

The event saw competitive finishes across various age groups. In the women’s 5K, the top spots were secured by Krysta Sofía Pérez García (11-14 years), Emily Jadelyn Barrios (15-18), and Cindy Rodríguez (19 and older). For the men’s 5K, Amani Opot (11-14), Juan David Soto Gallegos (15-18), and Cristopher Cruz (19 and older) claimed first place.

Promoting a Holistic Approach to Well-being

The ‘Think Feel Run’ initiative underscores Tec de Monterrey’s commitment to fostering a holistic approach to student and community well-being, extending beyond academic excellence to include physical and emotional health. The event’s success, marked by significant participation, reflects a growing community interest in activities that promote a balanced lifestyle.

The race also served as a vibrant community gathering, bringing together diverse age groups in a shared pursuit of health and personal achievement. The scenic routes through Ciudad Juárez provided an engaging backdrop for participants to connect with the city while engaging in a meaningful physical challenge.

Future Outlook for Community Engagement

The continued success of events like ‘Think Feel Run’ suggests a strong demand for initiatives that combine sports with broader themes of personal development and emotional intelligence. Tec de Monterrey campus Ciudad Juárez remains dedicated to organizing events that not only encourage physical activity but also contribute to the overall betterment of the community.

The institution plans to continue its efforts in promoting well-being through various programs and events, reinforcing its role as a leader in comprehensive education and community engagement in Ciudad Juárez.
