Mexico City, February 6 – Authorities in the Álvaro Obregón borough, through the General Directorate of Citizen Security and in collaboration with various institutions, successfully rescued a dog found in conditions of abandonment in the Zenón Delgado neighborhood. The operation took place on Coacota Street, at the corner of Otiapan, following a detailed report. Representatives from the Environmental and Territorial Planning Prosecutor’s Office (PAOT), the borough’s General Legal Directorate, Civil Protection personnel, and members of the General Directorate of Social Development were present at the scene.
During the initial assessment, the dog, a medium-sized canine approximately nine years old, was found to have multiple injuries. These included wounds on all four paws, as well as on its face and genital area. Additionally, the animal exhibited abdominal inflammation and discomfort, indicating a significant deterioration in its overall health.
“Toby” Transferred for Specialized Care
Due to its critical condition, the dog, identified as “Toby,” was immediately removed from the premises. “Toby” has since been transferred to an independent animal shelter, where it is currently receiving specialized veterinary attention and comprehensive medical care.
