Alex Pérez Delivers Wheelchairs to Vulnerable Residents in Southeast Ciudad Juárez

Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico, February 6 – In a move to enhance the mobility of vulnerable individuals, Alex Pérez Escalante, the local leader of the Green Party, spearheaded the distribution of 10 wheelchairs to residents with limited mobility across various neighborhoods in the southeast of Ciudad Juárez. The initiative, which took place on February 5, 2026, aims to break down physical barriers and restore autonomy to both children and adults within the community.

A Program for Social Management and Dignity

Pérez Escalante emphasized that these mobility aids represent “freedom and dignity” for the beneficiary families. This effort is part of a broader social management program designed to directly address critical needs in underserved areas of the city.

  • Fostering Autonomy: Citizens like Faustino González expressed their gratitude, highlighting how the equipment would facilitate their daily commutes and improve their quality of life.
  • Support for Children: The donations also included wheelchairs adapted for minors, exemplified by the case of Rosy Lucero’s daughter, a resident of the sector, who received a specially fitted chair.

The party leader reiterated that fieldwork will continue in the more remote areas of the city to identify and meet critical needs directly. “Our efforts will reach where they are most needed to ensure that no one is left behind,” Pérez Escalante stated, assuring that open channels for the direct delivery of basic support would be maintained without intermediaries.

Commitment to Community Needs

This initiative underscores the Green Party’s commitment to supporting the most vulnerable segments of the population in Ciudad Juárez. By providing essential mobility tools, the party aims to significantly improve the daily lives and independence of those facing physical challenges.

The distribution event was well-received by the community, with beneficiaries expressing profound appreciation for the tangible support that directly addresses their immediate needs. The program is expected to continue its outreach, extending its impact to more residents in the coming months.
