Mexico City, June 13, 2026 – The Mexico City Attorney General’s Office (FGJCDMX) announced the arrest and subsequent indictment of Cristina “N”, an alleged member of a criminal organization dedicated to home robberies in the capital. The woman is under investigation for her alleged involvement in an aggravated robbery committed by a gang on March 8, 2025, inside an apartment located in the Cuauhtémoc borough.

Investigation Leads to Identification and Arrest

The arrest is part of the actions undertaken by the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office to dismantle criminal groups involved in this type of crime, which significantly impacts the assets of families in Mexico City. According to the ministerial investigation, Cristina “N” is linked to the criminal group known as “Los Olmos Fragoso,” a cell that has been connected to several investigations into home robberies in different areas of the city.

The victims filed a complaint after returning to their home to find the apartment completely ransacked and various valuable items stolen. The stolen goods included electronic devices, personal belongings, and cash. The victims also discovered that the security cameras inside the residence had been disconnected, suggesting prior planning to avoid evidence collection.

Following the complaint, the Attorney General’s Office initiated a series of ministerial and expert investigations to identify those responsible. As part of the investigations, specialists analyzed surveillance camera footage from the vicinity of the property. Subsequently, forensic personnel conducted specialized anthropological identification studies and comparative image analyses, tools that helped establish Cristina “N”‘s probable involvement in the events. With the evidence gathered, the Public Ministry agent requested and obtained an arrest warrant against the accused.

Detention in Gustavo A. Madero

Once the judicial order was issued, agents from the Investigative Police (PDI), in coordination with personnel from the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC), conducted localization and tracking operations to find the suspect. The Attorney General’s Office reported that on June 8, 2026, Cristina “N” was apprehended in the streets of the Gustavo A. Madero borough.

Following her capture, the woman was placed at the disposal of the judicial authority to face the corresponding legal process. During the hearing held on June 12, the judge analyzed the evidence presented by the Attorney General’s Office and determined that there were sufficient elements to indict her for the crime of aggravated robbery by a gang. Additionally, she was issued a preventive detention measure, and a two-month period was set for the closure of the complementary investigation.

“Los Olmos Fragoso” Under Scrutiny

Mexico City authorities indicated that Cristina “N” is part of a broader investigation related to “Los Olmos Fragoso,” an organization allegedly dedicated to home robberies in various boroughs of Mexico City. The Attorney General’s Office recalled that the alleged leader of this criminal cell, identified as Israel “N”, was arrested on April 15, 2026, in the State of Mexico. Subsequently, he was indicted for at least three cases of home robbery recorded in the Cuauhtémoc and Benito Juárez boroughs.

The capture of other possible members remains a priority for the authorities, who seek to completely dismantle the operational structure of the organization. The Mexico City Attorney General’s Office emphasized that it maintains a permanent strategy to investigate, identify, and arrest members of groups dedicated to home robberies, with the aim of reducing the incidence of this crime and strengthening security in the capital.

However, it was reiterated that, in accordance with the principle of presumption of innocence established in Mexican legislation, Cristina “N” must be considered innocent until a final sentence issued by the competent judicial authority determines her criminal responsibility.
