Body Discovered in Riberas del Bravo, Ciudad Juarez

Ciudad Juarez, February 21, 2026 – The body of a man was found wrapped in a blue tarp in the Riberas del Bravo neighborhood, stage 7, in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua. The discovery was made by residents who alerted authorities to a suspicious bundle under a tree, next to a pile of trash, at the intersection of Rivera de Cozumel and Rivera de Piedras Negras.

Upon arrival, security forces confirmed it was a deceased individual. The area was immediately cordoned off to allow forensic experts and ministerial agents to collect evidence and begin the corresponding investigation.

Victim Found Tied and Clothed

According to information from the scene, the victim was found tied at the hands and feet. He was wearing a plaid shirt, and a keychain with the word “Parral” was found in his pants pocket. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.

The State Attorney General’s Office of Chihuahua is continuing with the investigation to clarify the case and determine the circumstances surrounding the death.

This incident adds to a series of security concerns in the region. Recent reports include another body found buried in a vacant lot in Colonia Tierra Nueva, and other violent acts in Ejido Carranza and Frida Kahlo neighborhoods, all within Ciudad Juarez.

The authorities urge anyone with information that could assist in the investigation to come forward.
