State Government Drives Entrepreneurship Training in Ciudad Juárez
Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, July 27 – The Chihuahua State Government, through the Secretariat of Rural Development (SDR), offered two free training courses at Parque Central yesterday, July 26, 2026. These initiatives aimed to provide residents of Ciudad Juárez with essential tools for entrepreneurship and to develop self-employment alternatives.
Dairy Product Production and Urban Gardens
Miguel Núñez, regional liaison for the SDR, reported that 22 individuals participated in a workshop focused on dairy product elaboration. During this session, attendees learned how to prepare fresh cheese, ricotta, and requesón. Additionally, another 25 participants received training on how to create and establish backyard or urban gardens.
Núñez emphasized that these actions are part of the state program “Cuenta Conmigo en el Campo” (Count on Me in the Countryside). The program’s objective is not only to impart knowledge but also to enable individuals to transform this knowledge into tangible entrepreneurial opportunities.
Upcoming Training Courses and Community Involvement
The official also announced plans for approximately 18 additional training courses in the border region. These upcoming courses will cover a range of topics, including sausage making, further dairy product elaboration, and the establishment of more gardens. All these sessions will take place at Parque Central, in coordination with the State Government’s Community Centers.
