Chihuahua State Benefits Over 8,000 in Ciudad Juarez with Social Investment
Ciudad Juarez, February 4 – The Government of the State of Chihuahua, through the Undersecretariat of Human and Common Development (SDHyBC), benefited over 8,000 people in Ciudad Juarez during 2025. This was achieved through social investment actions implemented in coordination with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
During that period, 5.16 million pesos were invested in projects for neighborhoods with high levels of vulnerability, primarily in the southeast and west sectors of the municipality, with a territorial and community focus.
Direct Impact on Vulnerable Communities
According to records provided by the participating CSOs, 8,484 people were directly assisted in this border city as a result of these actions. Of the total beneficiaries, 55.46 percent were women and 44.53 percent were men.
By age group, attention was provided to 4,754 girls and boys between 0 and 11 years old, 1,561 adolescents, 436 young people, 1,143 adults, and 590 older adults.
Four Key Areas of Intervention
The resources were channeled through projects oriented towards four main axes:
- Community and Educational Intervention: Benefiting 3,668 people.
- Comprehensive Care for Women in Situations of Violence: Assisting 1,984 women.
- Comprehensive Nutrition: Supporting 1,558 people.
- Comprehensive Health Rehabilitation: Providing services to 1,274 citizens.
The state administration will continue to work in coordination with CSOs to promote programs that directly impact the quality of life of the inhabitants of Ciudad Juarez.
This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to addressing social needs and fostering community development in one of the region’s most populous cities. The collaborative approach with CSOs has proven effective in reaching diverse demographic groups and addressing critical areas such as education, safety for women, nutrition, and health.
The focus on vulnerable communities in the suroriente and poniente sectors highlights a strategic effort to target areas with the greatest need, ensuring that the investment has a tangible and positive impact on the lives of residents.
The breakdown of beneficiaries by age group demonstrates a comprehensive strategy that caters to the needs of all generations, from early childhood to older adults, recognizing the unique challenges faced by each segment of the population.
The continued partnership between the state government and CSOs is expected to further strengthen the social fabric of Ciudad Juarez, leading to sustained improvements in the well-being and development of its citizens.
