Chihuahua State Presents Mobility Modernization Projects in Ciudad Juárez
Ciudad Juárez, September 23, 2026 – The Chihuahua State Government has presented a series of vital road projects in Ciudad Juárez, designed to modernize the city’s infrastructure, enhance mobility, and ensure quicker and safer commutes for its residents. The initiatives, announced yesterday, September 22, 2026, focus on strategic avenues within the city.
Key Figures Discuss Project Details
Jorge Chanez Peña, Secretary of Communications and Public Works, and Rogelio Fernández Irigoyen, Director General of the Border Bridge Trust of Chihuahua, met with Héctor Ortiz Orpinel, interim municipal president of Ciudad Juárez. The discussions centered on the planned actions for major thoroughfares including Paseo de la Victoria, De las Torres, Manuel Gómez Morín, Teófilo Borunda, and Juan Pablo II Boulevard.
During the meeting, an agreement was reached to establish coordination tables. State officials also requested the municipal government’s support in traffic safety, particularly for enabling alternate routes, guiding motorists, and minimizing traffic disruptions during construction.
Governor’s Vision for Juárez’s Growth
Secretary Chanez Peña emphasized that Governor Maru Campos’ vision is to address the ongoing growth of Ciudad Juárez through modern and functional infrastructure. This infrastructure is intended to meet the current needs of the population.
“We are working closely and addressing each project to promote better infrastructure and offer more results to the people of Juárez,” stated the state official, highlighting the commitment to the city’s development.

Following the meeting with municipal authorities, Chanez Peña and Fernández Irigoyen held discussions with members of the Business Coordinating Council. They presented the planned works for some of the city’s busiest corridors. This engagement aimed to strengthen communication between the business sector and authorities, with the goal of improving connectivity, reducing congestion, and streamlining travel at strategic points across the city.
“Today we participated in various working meetings to follow up on the works being developed by the State Government on the border, review their progress, and strengthen the necessary coordination for their correct execution,” the Secretary noted.
