Chihuahua Tourism Awards Quality Distinctions to Juarez Businesses

Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico – The Chihuahua State Secretariat of Tourism has recognized 27 service companies in Ciudad Juarez, awarding a total of 13 tourist host badges and 67 tourism quality distinctions. This initiative aims to elevate the quality of services offered and enhance the city’s image as a tourist destination.

The certifications, which include programs such as Moderniza, Puntos Limpios (Clean Points), and the Hotel Classification System, were granted to a diverse range of tourism service providers. These include hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, and other businesses crucial to the tourism sector.

Recognized Businesses and Their Commitment to Quality

Among the distinguished companies are prominent names such as Hotel Consulado Inn, Hotel María Bonita Consulado Americano, Krystal Urban Ciudad Juárez, Mesa Luna, Hotel El Conquistador Inn, Los Cedros, Viajes Tapia, Star Médica, City Express Ciudad Juárez, and La Rodadora Espacio Interactivo. These establishments have demonstrated a strong commitment to improving their services and customer experience.

Enrique Toledo, Undersecretary of State Tourism, emphasized that these awards acknowledge the significant efforts made by these businesses. He stated that their dedication not only strengthens individual enterprises but also collectively enhances the city’s appeal to visitors. Toledo highlighted that the badges and distinctions signify a commitment to hygienic food handling, safety protocols, excellent customer service, and efficient management practices.

Future of Tourism in Juarez: Convention Center Project

Toledo also referenced a recent announcement by the Governor regarding the upcoming Juarez Convention Center project. This new facility is expected to significantly boost the city’s capacity to host various events, further positioning Juarez as a key destination for tourism and conventions. The tourism sector, according to Toledo, is well-prepared to welcome an increased number of visitors as a result of these developments.

The Undersecretary extended gratitude to the business organizations that supported and participated in the training programs that led to these certifications. The awards ceremony took place at the Hotel María Bonita Consulado Americano, bringing together representatives from the recognized businesses and tourism officials.

This initiative underscores a concerted effort by the Chihuahua State Secretariat of Tourism and local businesses to foster a high-quality, welcoming environment for tourists in Ciudad Juarez, aligning with broader regional development goals.
