Ciudad Juárez City Council Approves Two New Housing Developments, Adding 570 Homes

Ciudad Juárez, June 24, 2026 – The Honorable City Council of Ciudad Juárez officially approved the creation of two new single-family housing developments on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. These projects are set to introduce a total of 570 new residential lots, contributing to the projected urban expansion across various sectors of the city.

The approval took place during the 43rd ordinary session of the City Council, where the Review Commission for Subdivisions and Condominiums presented the respective opinions for authorizing the developments named Cerradas de San Ángel, Stage 6, and Montevalle Residencial, Privada Cardencha.

Cerradas de San Ángel, Stage 6: Over 290 New Homes

The development of Cerradas de San Ángel, Stage 6, is planned to comprise 293 residential lots. It will be situated in the area located between Mar de Galilea Street and Fundadores de América Boulevard. According to the information presented to the City Council, this project will encompass a total area of 73,261 square meters.

Montevalle Residencial to Add 277 Lots

In parallel, the Montevalle Residencial, Privada Cardencha development is slated for the construction of 277 residential lots. This project will cover an area of 79,421.284 square meters and will be located in the Monteverde circuit area.

Legal Requirements Met

Municipal authorities confirmed that both projects have successfully met all the requirements stipulated by the Law of Human Settlements, Territorial Planning, and Sustainable Urban Development of the State of Chihuahua. This compliance led to their corresponding approval for development.

With these authorizations, the municipality is expanding its urban planning by adding new spaces designated for single-family housing. This move is part of a broader strategy to accommodate the city’s growing population and ensure organized urban development.

The creation of these new subdivisions underscores the commitment of Ciudad Juárez to structured growth and the provision of adequate housing options for its residents. The projects are anticipated to contribute positively to the local economy through construction and subsequent residential activity.

Further details regarding the timeline for construction and lot availability are expected to be announced by the respective developers in the coming months.
