CRIF Provides Vital Rehabilitation Services in Ciudad Juárez

Ciudad Juárez, March 13, 2026 – The Integral Physical Rehabilitation Center (CRIF), an essential facility operated by the State DIF, is actively providing a wide array of rehabilitation services to the residents of Ciudad Juárez. These services include medical consultations, physical therapy, language therapy, and psychological support, aiming to enhance the recovery and well-being of patients with various conditions.

According to Hiram Mendoza, Director of Rehabilitation at DIF Estatal, the center conducts approximately 90 therapeutic sessions daily, underscoring the significant demand for such specialized services within the community. This high volume of activity reflects the critical role CRIF plays in supporting the health and rehabilitation needs of the local population.

Comprehensive Therapies for Diverse Needs

CRIF offers a comprehensive suite of therapies designed to address a broad spectrum of rehabilitation requirements. Among the available services are electrotherapy, mechanotherapy, and hydrotherapy, which are crucial for restoring mobility and strengthening physical abilities. Additionally, the center provides language therapy to assist individuals with communication challenges and psychological support to address the emotional and mental aspects of recovery.

A key feature of CRIF’s approach is the provision of specialized medical assessments. These evaluations are offered free of charge to prospective patients, allowing medical professionals to accurately determine the most appropriate treatment plan and ensure continuous follow-up for each case. This initial assessment is vital for tailoring rehabilitation programs to individual needs, maximizing the effectiveness of the interventions.

Accessibility and Affordability for the Community

Located at Fierro number 300, in the Arroyo Colorado neighborhood, CRIF is strategically positioned to serve a significant portion of Ciudad Juárez. Beyond therapeutic services, the facility also facilitates important administrative procedures, such as the issuance of medical certificates and disability credentials. These documents are instrumental in enabling individuals to access various support programs and benefits, thereby fostering their inclusion in social services and specialized aid.

The center is committed to making rehabilitation accessible to all. Its fees are maintained significantly lower than those of private institutions. Furthermore, a socioeconomic study is conducted for each user to establish affordable rates, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder access to necessary care. The initial medical consultation, which precedes any treatment, is provided at no cost, further removing barriers to entry for those in need.

Expanding Reach and Future Plans

In addition to the main CRIF facility, the State DIF operates Basic Rehabilitation Units (UBRs) across different parts of the city. Currently, one such unit is operational in the La Cuesta area. Plans are underway to open a new unit at the Technological University of Ciudad Juárez, which will significantly expand the coverage of rehabilitation services to the southern parts of the city. This expansion aims to reach more residents and reduce travel burdens for those seeking care.

The continuous efforts by CRIF and DIF Estatal highlight a strong commitment to providing essential rehabilitation services, promoting recovery, and improving the quality of life for individuals in Ciudad Juárez. The center’s focus on comprehensive care, affordability, and accessibility makes it a cornerstone of public health and welfare in the region.
