FC Juarez Confirms Signing of Luca Martínez Dupuy for Clausura 2026

Ciudad Juarez, January 25 – FC Juarez has officially confirmed the incorporation of Luca Martínez Dupuy as a new player for the club. This marks the Mexican forward’s arrival in national football for his first experience in the Liga MX, following a seven-year career in Argentina.

The attacker joins from Godoy Cruz and will embark on his first experience in the Mexican league with the border team. The club announced the signing through its official social media channels.

Martínez Dupuy’s arrival solidifies after various reports linked him with clubs such as Pumas, Cruz Azul, or Chivas. Ultimately, it will be the Ciudad Juarez team that adds the forward to its squad for the upcoming tournament.

Experience in Argentine Football and Terms of Arrival

Luca Martínez Dupuy began his career at Rosario Central and later joined Godoy Cruz, the club where he accumulated most of his professional activity. In the Argentine League, he played a total of 129 official matches, registering 17 goals and three assists.

The forward, born in San Luis Potosí, will arrive at FC Juarez on a one-year loan with an option to buy. His departure comes at a particular time for Godoy Cruz, a team that will compete this season in the Argentine Second Division with the goal of seeking promotion.

National Team Participation and Possible Debut with the Bravos

Although his footballing development took place in Argentina, Martínez Dupuy has participated with the Mexican National Team in lower categories. The attacker was part of the U-20, U-21, and U-23 teams, with which he played 17 matches and scored five goals.

His experience with the Senior National Team was limited to one match, played in May 2024 under the technical direction of Jaime Lozano, a match in which he did not score.

The Liga MX will resume activities next weekend, and FC Juarez will face Cruz Azul at the Olímpico Benito Juárez Stadium. This match could see Dupuy make his debut in Mexican football.
