Fire Engulfs Electronics Store in Ciudad Juarez Market

Ciudad Juarez, February 13, 2026 – A significant fire was reported early Friday morning at an electronics store located within Mercado Reforma, on Vicente Guerrero Avenue in the downtown area of Ciudad Juarez. The incident resulted in total losses for the affected establishment and caused damage to adjacent businesses.

According to initial reports from authorities, market vendors were alerted by smoke emanating from inside the premises and promptly called emergency services at 911.

Firefighters Forced Entry to Combat Blaze

Municipal Public Security Secretariat officers were the first to arrive at the scene, securing the area and closing Vicente Guerrero Avenue to facilitate emergency operations. Subsequently, elements of the Heroic Fire Department arrived with two engines and a tanker to extinguish the fire. Firefighters were compelled to force entry by breaking down a metal curtain to access the burning store, while another team inspected the rest of the building to check for further damage.

Total Losses Reported for Affected Store

After the flames were brought under control, firefighters confirmed that the affected store suffered total losses. Additionally, merchandise in adjacent businesses also sustained damage.

Investigations are ongoing to clarify the cause of the fire, with initial suspicions pointing to a possible short circuit. However, relevant authorities will confirm the definitive cause of the incident.
