A significant emergency response was initiated in the early hours of Sunday in the west of Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico, after a fire rapidly spread within a residence, causing total losses and moments of tension among local residents. The affected property belonged to Juarez influencer José Bélico, known for his activity on social media.

Accidental Origin of the Fire

According to preliminary information, the fire in Ciudad Juárez had an accidental origin. Experts indicated that a wood-burning heater without adequate ventilation was being used inside the home, leading to an excessive accumulation of heat. This situation is believed to have caused a mattress to ignite, facilitating the rapid spread of flames within the residence. The presence of flammable materials exacerbated the blaze, resulting in the house being completely engulfed in flames within minutes.

No Serious Injuries, But Total Material Damage

Authorities confirmed that the incident did not result in any serious injuries or fatalities, although material damages were total, affecting both the structure and the furnishings of the home. During the emergency, some residents of the Eréndira neighborhood were treated for nervous shock, as the fire posed a risk to nearby houses due to their close proximity.

After controlling the flames, emergency teams carried out cooling and inspection tasks to rule out any additional danger. Specialists reiterated the call to exercise extreme caution in the use of heating systems during the winter season, especially those that operate with wood or gas and require constant ventilation.

The incident highlights the importance of proper ventilation and maintenance of heating appliances to prevent such devastating events. Local authorities continue to emphasize safety measures to protect residents and their properties.
