Health and Services Fair in Ciudad Juárez: Your Guide to Free Services and Fun

Ciudad Juárez, April 22, 2026 – Residents of Ciudad Juárez are invited to a comprehensive Health and Services Fair this coming Saturday, April 25. The event will take place in the city’s Historic Center, specifically outside the Museum of the Revolution of the Border (Muref), offering a wide array of free services and cultural activities for the whole family.

This initiative is the third fair of its kind this year and is part of a larger calendar that aims to host approximately 20 such events throughout the city, with a monthly fair planned for the last Saturday of each month at different locations.

What Services Will Be Available?

The fair will feature numerous health and social services, with a strong focus on community well-being. According to Rogelio Covarrubias, Director of the Juárez Health District, the most requested services at previous fairs have been pet vaccinations.

  • Pet Vaccinations: Free rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats. This is consistently the most popular service.
  • Human Vaccinations: Completion of human vaccination schedules.
  • Disease Detection: Screenings for tuberculosis, cardiometabolic diseases, and childhood cancer.
  • Preventive Health: Services related to oral health, nutrition, and mental health.
  • Social Programs: Prevention of addictions and violence, family planning, and distribution of health booklets.

Cultural and Educational Activities by UACJ

The Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez (UACJ) is a key partner in this event, contributing both educational and cultural elements. Alejandro Castillo, Director of Cultural Dissemination at UACJ, confirmed that the university’s representative groups will perform at all scheduled fairs.
