Mexico City, February 3 – A jewellery store in the Centro Histórico of Mexico City was the scene of a robbery on Tuesday evening, as confirmed by the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC). No injuries were reported during the incident.
Details of the Robbery at Bizarro Jewellery
According to the official report, an employee of the Bizarro jewellery store, located at Isabel la Católica Avenue number 36, at the corner of 16 de Septiembre, stated that she was showing two bracelets to a man when she was momentarily distracted. Upon looking up, she realised the man had disappeared. She immediately exited the store in an attempt to locate him but was unsuccessful.
Sector patrols and an MX unit swiftly responded to the scene, providing guidance to the employee and store managers on how to file a formal complaint with the Public Ministry.
Investigation Underway with Surveillance Footage
Authorities have initiated an investigation with the support of surveillance systems from C5 and C2, as well as cameras installed within the establishment and the surrounding area. The aim is to identify the individuals responsible for the robbery.
Preliminary information suggests that two individuals, dressed in black clothing and wearing caps, are the probable suspects. They are believed to have fled the scene on a black motorcycle. Witnesses also indicated that the suspects may have removed their sweatshirts before escaping on foot towards the State of Mexico.

As of now, the exact value of the stolen items has not been determined. Personnel from Base Cóndores have been informed and are following up on the case. Investigations are ongoing to clarify the facts and apprehend those responsible.
