Movimiento Ciudadano Hosts Free Oral Health and Vision Screenings in Ciudad Juárez

Ciudad Juárez, March 22, 2026 – The Movimiento Ciudadano (Citizen Movement) party held a successful free oral health and vision screening day yesterday, benefiting over a hundred residents of Ciudad Juárez. The event, which took place at Casa Naranja, located on Rivera Lara and Panamericana streets, saw the participation of more than 16 health professionals, including dentists, orthodontists, and optometrists.

Community Initiative Addresses Health Needs

Enrique Figueroa, the district coordinator for Movimiento Ciudadano, highlighted the importance of such initiatives for the community. “The activity today focuses on oral health, with more than 16 professional dentists, odontologists, and orthodontists supporting us in this event, as well as optometrists offering free eye exams,” Figueroa stated.

The event aimed to provide essential health services to residents who might otherwise have limited access to them. Figueroa expressed the party’s commitment to continuing these efforts. “We will try to hold events like this at least once a month. Get ready for upcoming events; they will be very interesting, and we will not only cover these types of needs but also address a diversity of objectives that the Committee is setting here in Ciudad Juárez,” he added.

Support from State and Federal Leadership

Figueroa extended his gratitude to state leader Francisco Sánchez and federal leader Alfredo Lozoya for their support. He also emphasized the significance of establishing Casa Naranja in Ciudad Juárez, marking it as the first of its kind in the city. “With this opening, the citizens and what is coming for Movimiento Ciudadano continues to add to anyone who wants to come and participate, both in militancy and in the area of internal participation. We want people to see that we have objectives and to focus on solving social problems that Ciudad Juárez is experiencing,” Figueroa explained.

Broad Reach Across Districts

The beneficiaries of the health day came from various sectors of the city. “The patients are people from different sectors. We had an inauguration of our citizen circles activity a few weeks ago, and in each district, each delegate has been bringing patients from district 2 to 10, and we will continue to do so,” Figueroa noted, underscoring the widespread impact of the program.

Addressing Social Issues Through Community Engagement

This initiative is part of Movimiento Ciudadano’s broader strategy to engage with the community and address social issues directly. By providing free health services, the party aims to demonstrate its commitment to the well-being of Ciudad Juárez residents and to foster a sense of community participation and support.

The success of yesterday’s event sets a precedent for future community-focused programs, as Movimiento Ciudadano plans to expand its scope to tackle various social challenges beyond health, ensuring a comprehensive approach to improving the quality of life in Ciudad Juárez.
