Ciudad Juárez, July 10, 2026 – The Secretariat of Human and Social Development in the North Zone is actively working on establishing a new Community Center in Ciudad Juárez. This initiative aims to broaden the reach of community services within the city, as confirmed by Austria Galindo, head of the Secretariat.
Legal Resolution Pending for New Community Center
Galindo stated that the project is currently in the process of resolving legal aspects. Due to these ongoing legal procedures, the specific location of the new facility cannot yet be disclosed. However, she did reveal that the center would be situated in a central area of the city.
The official clarified that the plan involves recovering an existing space rather than constructing a new building. This approach is intended to address a long-standing demand from residents in the chosen sector for improved community facilities.
Expanding the Network of Community Centers
Upon its completion, the new center will integrate into the existing network of Community Centers operated by the Secretariat in Ciudad Juárez. The current facilities are located in various neighborhoods, including Riberas del Bravo, Águilas de Zaragoza, Fray García de San Francisco, Mezquital, Concordia, Revolución Mexicana, Independencia, Parque Central, Altavista, Parajes de San José, Granjero, and 15 de Enero. Additionally, a new center was recently inaugurated in the town of Guadalupe.
This expansion underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing community services and providing accessible resources to a wider population in Ciudad Juárez.
