CIUDAD JUÁREZ, Chihuahua, Mexico – March 26, 2026 – More than 20 companies across various sectors have confirmed their participation in a Job Fair set to take place on April 9th at Plaza Las Torres shopping center. The announcement was made by Iván Pérez Ruiz, president of the National Chamber of Commerce (Canaco) in Ciudad Juárez, who highlighted the initiative’s goal of expanding employment opportunities in the city.
The event, scheduled from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, is designed to provide job seekers with access to formal employment vacancies and strengthen the participation of businesses in the commerce and services sector in job creation. Pérez Ruiz encouraged affiliated businesses to register for a free module to recruit personnel, emphasizing that space is limited.
Expected Participation and Available Vacancies
Canaco anticipates that approximately 35 companies will ultimately participate in this recruitment drive. Available positions will include administrative roles, sales floor attention, and jobs in department stores. Opportunities will also be offered by private security companies, hardware stores, and other businesses affiliated with the chamber.
Pérez Ruiz acknowledged that the organized commerce sector has not been able to fully absorb the unemployment recently generated in the maquiladora industry. However, he stated that initiatives like this job fair aim to strengthen internal consumption and create new job opportunities for the residents of Ciudad Juárez.
