Ciudad Juárez, September 6 – More than 8,000 runners gathered yesterday morning for the 57th edition of the traditional Friendship Race in Ciudad Juárez. The event, which commenced at 7:00 AM, was hailed as a success, promoting community engagement and a healthy lifestyle.
Mayoral Kick-off and Emphasis on Sport
Mayor Héctor Rafael Ortiz Orpinel officially started the race, emphasizing the importance of sports in his administration. “Sport is fundamental for the administration, as it provides a safe space for coexistence for our youth and entire families,” stated the mayor, highlighting the event’s role in fostering community spirit.
