Mexico City, January 12, 2026 – The Federal Consumer Prosecutor’s Office (Profeco) has imposed eight suspension seals on establishments across Mexico City and Metepec, State of Mexico, following the discovery of various irregularities that directly impacted consumers. These actions were part of the ‘Vacational and Tourist December 2025’ operation.
Profeco’s “Vacational and Tourist December 2025” Operation
Between December 19, 2025, and January 9, 2026, Profeco conducted 141 verification visits to businesses and service providers. The primary objective of this operation was to ensure compliance with the Federal Consumer Protection Law and safeguard consumer rights during the holiday season.
According to Profeco’s findings, six businesses in the capital and two in Metepec were penalized for various infractions. These included failure to honor advertised prices, unauthorized rounding of charges, selling expired products, and omitting clear information regarding sales conditions.

Among the establishments that received suspension seals are:
- GWM Automobile Agency in Tlalpan, Mexico City
- Farmacia San Pablo in Benito Juárez, Mexico City
- The cantina “La Catrina de Regina” in Cuauhtémoc, Mexico City
- Farmacias del Ahorro in Cuauhtémoc, Mexico City
- The parking lot of the Oasis Coyoacán shopping center in Mexico City
- Servicios Gastronómicos Dux in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City
- Soriana in Plaza Town Square, Metepec
- Nueva Wal-Mart de México in Metepec
