Ciudad Juarez, July 30 – The Mexican government’s scholarship program is nearing the completion of its first phase of bank card distribution in the border city. The Secretariat of Bienestar (Welfare) announced that the Rita Cetina Scholarship has achieved a 95% delivery rate for its cards in Ciudad Juarez, guaranteeing economic resources to thousands of families prior to the start of the new school year.

With the upcoming resumption of academic activities, federal authorities have announced that a new registration period will open in September for both the Rita Cetina Scholarship (basic education) and the Benito Juárez Scholarship.
Mayra Chávez, delegate of the Programs for Bienestar in Chihuahua, stated that the agency has the operational capacity to provide universal coverage for basic education enrollment in this border region, estimated at 294,000 students. However, the holiday period temporarily slowed down the collection of the plastic cards. Therefore, the official issued an urgent call to families who have not yet completed the process:
“We invite all beneficiaries who still do not have their card to go to the Bienestar offices located on López Mateos Avenue to complete the process and receive their document,” urged Chávez.
