Ciudad Juarez, May 10, 2026 – The State Public Security Secretariat (SSPE), through the Detectives Group of the Undersecretariat of the General Staff, has successfully apprehended five alleged members of a criminal group believed to be involved in several homicides across Ciudad Juarez. The operation, which led to the arrests, was initiated following a thorough investigation into various violent incidents in the city.

Investigation Led to Vehicle Identification

In response to a series of homicide cases reported in different parts of Ciudad Juarez, the Detectives Group gathered crucial intelligence, including images and data related to vehicles allegedly used in these violent acts. Among these vehicles was a red Ford F-150 pickup truck, whose location was pinpointed thanks to the support of the Tactical Analysis Directorate.

The vehicle was located in the Parque Mirador neighborhood, prompting the SSPE to launch an immediate operation to apprehend the suspects.

Operation Results in Five Arrests and Seizure of Weapons and Drugs

During the operation in the Parque Mirador neighborhood, law enforcement officials successfully detained five men. Jorge Armendáriz, spokesperson for the SSPE, confirmed the arrests and detailed the items seized during the intervention.

The detained individuals have been identified as Óscar Eduardo C. Ch., Ismael M. C., Esaul Y. D., Gabriel G. L., and Salvador H. P. According to Armendáriz, these individuals are believed to be part of a criminal organization operating within the region.

During their apprehension, authorities confiscated a significant arsenal, including an AR-15 rifle, caliber .223 millimeters, with a loaded magazine, and two 9-millimeter pistols. Additionally, various magazines and ammunition were seized. The operation also led to the discovery and seizure of three bags of marijuana, weighing approximately 50 grams.

Suspects Handed Over to Authorities for Legal Proceedings

Following their arrest and the seizure of the aforementioned items, the five suspects, Óscar Eduardo C. Ch., Ismael M. C., Esaul Y. D., Gabriel G. L., and Salvador H. P., were immediately handed over to the corresponding authorities. They will now face legal proceedings, during which their cases will be formally integrated, and their legal status will be determined.

The SSPE emphasized its commitment to combating criminal activity and ensuring the safety and security of the residents of Ciudad Juarez. The successful operation underscores the effectiveness of inter-agency cooperation and intelligence-led policing in addressing serious crimes such as homicides.

The investigation into the criminal group’s activities and their alleged involvement in homicides is ongoing. Authorities are expected to provide further updates as the legal process unfolds.
