The highly anticipated State Phase of Universiada 2026, organized by the National Sports Council for Education (CONDDE), has officially begun in Ciudad Juárez. This event brings together hundreds of university athletes from across Chihuahua to compete for a coveted spot in the Regional stage. First Phase: March 5 – March 8, 2026

The initial phase, running from Friday, March 5, to Sunday, March 8, includes seven disciplines. Here’s a detailed schedule and location breakdown:

    • Dates: Friday, March 6 & Saturday, March 7
    • Time: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM

  • Chess:

    • Time: Rounds at 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM
    • Location: Building C-1 (Room 101) of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICB)
  • Men’s Association Football:
    • Date: Friday, March 6
    • Time: 7:00 PM
    • Match: ULSA vs. UACJ
    • Location: Synthetic Grass Field
  • Women’s Handball:
    • Date: Friday, March 6
    • Time: 6:00 PM (URN vs. UACJ)
