Two Bodies Found in Ciudad Juárez; Investigations Underway
Ciudad Juárez, April 5 – Authorities in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico, reported the discovery of two deceased individuals in separate locations across the city on Sunday morning. The incidents have prompted immediate investigations by local law enforcement and forensic teams.
First Discovery in San Agustín
The initial discovery was made on Sunday morning, April 5, along the Juárez-El Porvenir highway, near the entrance to a ranch in the San Agustín area. A male body was found wrapped in a blanket. Personnel from the Municipal Public Security Secretariat and the Mexican Army promptly secured the scene upon arrival.
Subsequently, representatives from the State Attorney General’s Office arrived to collect evidence and commence the preliminary investigation. The body was then transferred to the Forensic Medical Service for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Second Discovery in San Isidro
Later the same morning, a second body was located at the intersection of 16 de Septiembre and Francisco Villa streets in the San Isidro area. Various security corporations responded to the scene to cordon off the area. Similar to the first incident, the Forensic Medical Service transported the body to their facilities for an autopsy to ascertain the exact cause of death.
Ongoing Investigations
As of now, authorities have not released further details regarding these discoveries. It is anticipated that more information will be made public once the ongoing investigations are concluded and forensic analyses are complete. The identities of the deceased have not yet been released.
These incidents follow other recent security concerns in the region, including the discovery of two bodies in a Ciudad Juárez home where drugs were also found, and the arrest of a suspected criminal leader in Guachochi.
