Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico – February 28, 2026 – The Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez (UACJ), through its General Directorate of Linkage, Exchange and Social Responsibility and the Sub-directorate of University Social Responsibility, along with its dedicated students, actively participated in the “5th Clean-up Crusade for Ciudad Juárez.” This initiative, organized by the Municipality, aimed to improve the cleanliness and appearance of the city.
140 Students Volunteer for Community Clean-up
The clean-up effort saw the participation of 140 students from various academic programs across UACJ’s institutes, including IADA, IIT, ICB, ICSA, and Ciudad Universitaria. These committed students dedicated their time to removing a wide array of waste from a vacant lot in the Los Ojitos subdivision.
Focus on a Specific Location
The activity was specifically carried out in a vacant lot located at Valle Manantial de las Flores #1058 in the Fraccionamiento los Ojitos. This targeted approach allowed for a significant impact on a specific area in need of attention.

During the crusade, students diligently collected various types of trash, including:

- Tires
- Plastic bottles
- Glass bottles
