FECHAC and USMC Expand ‘See Better to Live Better’ Visual Health Project in Ciudad Juárez

Ciudad Juárez, June 11, 2026 – The ‘See Better to Live Better’ visual health project, a collaborative effort between the Chihuahua Business Foundation (FECHAC) and the United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce (USMC), has been significantly expanded in Ciudad Juárez. This sixth edition of the program sees a substantial increase in investment, aiming to improve visual health services for the local community.

Significant Investment Increase

The financial commitment to the program has grown considerably since its inception. Initially, the project was launched with an investment of 16.6 million pesos. For this sixth edition, the investment has surged to 40.1 million pesos, reflecting a strong dedication to enhancing visual health accessibility and quality in the region.

Salvador Miranda, a key figure associated with the initiative, emphasized the importance of this expanded investment. The increased funding will allow for a broader reach and more comprehensive services, targeting a larger segment of the population in need of visual care.

Program Objectives and Impact

The ‘See Better to Live Better’ project focuses on providing visual health solutions to residents of Ciudad Juárez. The expansion is expected to result in a greater number of beneficiaries receiving eye examinations, corrective lenses, and other essential visual health interventions. This initiative is part of a broader effort to improve the overall well-being and quality of life for the community.

The program aims to address the prevalent visual impairments within the city, which can significantly impact individuals’ daily lives, education, and work productivity. By making visual health services more accessible and affordable, FECHAC and USMC are contributing to the social and economic development of Ciudad Juárez.

Collaborative Efforts for Community Health

The partnership between FECHAC and USMC underscores the power of cross-sector collaboration in addressing critical community needs. FECHAC, known for its philanthropic endeavors in Chihuahua, and USMC, which fosters economic and social ties between the two nations, have successfully combined their resources and expertise to create a sustainable and impactful visual health program.

This expansion is a testament to the success of previous editions and the ongoing commitment of both organizations to the health and welfare of Ciudad Juárez residents. The project is expected to continue its positive trajectory, reaching even more individuals in future iterations.

The announcement of this expanded project comes amidst other local news concerning community health and development, including the opening of a permanent prosthesis workshop in August, the delivery of prostheses and orthopedic devices by DIF Estatal, and the successful attendance at the Book Fair. These initiatives collectively highlight a concerted effort to improve various aspects of life in Ciudad Juárez.

Further details regarding the implementation of the expanded ‘See Better to Live Better’ project, including specific outreach programs and service locations, are anticipated to be released by FECHAC and USMC in the coming weeks.
