One discovery involved a man’s body found inside a suitcase on an abandoned baby stroller, while another victim was located hours later in a desert area along Camino Real. These incidents bring the total number of homicides in the Chihuahua border region to 40 for the month of July.
Body Discovered in Stroller in Riberas del Bravo
The first report was made around 05:26 AM when officers from the Municipal Public Security Secretariat were conducting patrol rounds at the intersection of Rivera de Montecarlo and Rivera de Ojinaga. There, they found a gray stroller with a suitcase covered by a curtain. Upon closer inspection, officers observed a hand protruding from the luggage. According to initial reports, the victim showed signs of violence and was bound. Residents of the area had initially alerted authorities after noticing the abandoned stroller in front of a public park, prompting the mobilization of security forces.
Second Body Found in Desert Area
Hours later, another body was located in a desert area along Camino Real. This separate incident is also under investigation by authorities. As of the time of this report, the State Attorney General’s Office has not released the identities of either victim, nor have any arrests been made in connection with either case. Both investigations remain open as authorities work to determine the circumstances of the deaths and identify those responsible.
July Sees 40 Homicides in Ciudad Juárez

After the discovery of the body in the stroller, preventive police notified the District Attorney’s Office for the Northern Zone. Criminalistics experts and agents from the Life Crimes Investigation Unit responded to process the scene, collect evidence, and arrange for the transfer of the body to the Forensic Medical Service. The investigations into both cases are ongoing, with authorities working to gather information that will lead to the identification of the victims and the apprehension of the perpetrators.
