FGR Secures Convictions Against Two Individuals for Weapons and Drugs in Ciudad Juárez
Ciudad Juárez, August 14, 2026 – The Attorney General’s Office (FGR), through its Specialized Regional Control Prosecutor’s Office (FECOR) in Chihuahua, has successfully obtained a conviction against Jonathan ‘N’ and Kevin ‘N’ for their involvement in crimes related to the possession of firearms exclusively used by the Armed Forces, possession of magazines and cartridges, as well as drug offenses.
The Control Judge sentenced Kevin ‘N’ to eight years, five months, and 10 days in prison, in addition to a fine of 179 Units of Measurement and Actualization (UMA). Jonathan ‘N’ received a more severe sentence of 13 years and four months in prison, along with a fine of 393 UMA.

The events leading to these convictions date back to June 6, 2025, when elements of the State Public Security Secretariat were conducting preventive and surveillance patrols in the Electricistas neighborhood of Ciudad Juárez. During these patrols, they intercepted the two individuals, who were traveling in a vehicle without license plates.
At the time of their arrest, authorities confiscated four firearms of various calibers, loaded magazines with live ammunition, a bag containing 24 wraps of a substance consistent with cocaine, and the vehicle itself. This significant seizure highlights the ongoing efforts to combat illegal arms and drug trafficking in the region.

Throughout the criminal proceedings, the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Federation meticulously gathered and integrated the necessary evidence.
