Ciudad Juárez, August 22 – Approximately 500 women attended the Women’s Services and Health Fair held yesterday at the offices of the Undersecretariat of Human Development and Social Welfare, located on the west side of Parque Central.

Financial Aid and Maternity Support Provided

Austria Galindo, head of the dependency, reported that during the event, 200 checks of 2,000 pesos each were distributed, totaling 400,000 pesos in financial aid. Additionally, 100 pregnant women or mothers with babies under one year old received a welcome kit for motherhood.

Comprehensive Services and Overwhelming Response

The fair also offered talks on new maternities, positive parenting, and the importance of breastfeeding, alongside various health services and consultations for attendees. Galindo did not rule out a second edition of the fair, noting that the response significantly exceeded expectations, with over 200 women attending without prior registration.

Galindo emphasized that the strong turnout demonstrates that the message about available support is reaching the population. She encouraged interested individuals to come forward to initiate their applications and access these benefits.

Community Engagement and Future Prospects

The success of the fair highlights the community’s need and interest in such initiatives, prompting consideration for future events. The event aimed to provide essential services and support to women in Ciudad Juárez, addressing various aspects of their well-being and development.

The Undersecretariat of Human Development and Social Welfare continues its efforts to reach more residents and provide valuable assistance, reflecting a commitment to community welfare and empowerment.
