Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua – To combat the accumulation of trash and facilitate proper waste disposal, the Directorate of Cleaning has installed new ‘Clean Points’ across various sectors of Ciudad Juárez. These new collection sites are now operational and available for public use, offering residents a convenient way to dispose of bulky items and other large objects they no longer need.
What are Clean Points?
Clean Points are temporary collection sites established by the local government to allow citizens to dispose of large household items, known as ’tiliches’ in Mexico, that cannot be collected through regular garbage services. This initiative aims to prevent these items from being abandoned in public spaces, contributing to a cleaner and healthier urban environment.
Key Information for Residents
Availability: The Clean Points were activated yesterday, April 17, 2026, and will remain active until Monday, April 20, 2026. Residents are encouraged to utilize these facilities during this specific period.
Locations of New Clean Points:
- Villa Colonial: On Paseo de la Plaza street, adjacent to El Nigromante Elementary School.
- Rincón del Solar II: On Leonardo Bernal street, between Lorenzo García and Rincón del Solar II.
- Mariano Escobedo: On Santos Degollado street, between General Terán and Montemorelos.

What Can You Dispose Of?
These Clean Points are primarily for domestic use and are intended for the disposal of bulky items and large objects. This includes old furniture, appliances, mattresses, and other household goods that are too large for standard trash bins.

It is crucial to adhere to the following guidelines to ensure the effectiveness and safety of the Clean Points:
- NO Soil or Debris: Construction waste, soil, or rubble is strictly prohibited.
- NO Hazardous Waste: Dangerous or toxic materials are not allowed.
- Domestic Use Only: These points are exclusively for household waste, not for commercial or industrial waste.
